A roofing website redesign should never cost you the rankings you already have

A roofing website redesign done correctly starts by mapping every existing URL to its replacement and setting up redirects, so a redesign improves the site without erasing the search visibility it already earned.

What it costs

  • Plans$127 a month
  • Build fee$697, after launch
  • Live in7 days
  • Revisions5 a month
  • Domain and hostingIncluded

Signs a redesign is the right spend, and signs it is not

If more than two of these describe your situation, this page is about you.

  • 01The site is embarrassing you in front of customers you have already won.
  • 02It is slow on a phone and you run ads, so you are paying for visitors who leave before it loads.
  • 03The business has changed, new services, new counties, and the site describes the company from four years ago.
  • 04You cannot change anything without asking someone who no longer replies.
  • 05It converts nothing, and you have stopped sending people to it at all.
Scope, both halves

What is included, and what is deliberately not

The second list matters more than the first. A scope with no exclusions is a scope nobody has thought about.

Included

  • A fresh page plan based on the business you run now rather than the one you had when the site was built.
  • A complete rebuild, custom coded, rather than a new theme on the same foundations.
  • Every existing URL mapped and permanently redirected before the domain is pointed.
  • Content worth keeping migrated, and an honest list of what is not worth carrying over.
  • The compliance pages the old site probably never had.

Not included

  • Keeping the old platform and restyling it. That is a different job and a temporary one.
  • A guarantee that traffic increases. A redesign protects what you have and gives new content a chance.
  • Rewriting content you insist on keeping that we think is wrong. We will tell you plainly, then it is your call.

If you need one of these, say so on the demo. We would rather point you somewhere else than take the work and disappoint you.

Auditing what already works

Before redesigning anything, we review which existing pages already rank or bring in traffic, so a redesign builds on that rather than accidentally deleting a page a search engine has already indexed and trusts.

Redirect mapping is not optional

Every old URL is mapped to its new equivalent and a redirect is set up before launch. This is standard on every redesign we do, not an extra service, because a redesign without redirects is the single most common way a business loses its search visibility overnight.

What usually changes, and why

Most redesigns fix the same underlying issues: a slow page builder platform, a single generic services page instead of one per service, and no location pages at all. The redesign is an opportunity to fix the structural gaps that were quietly limiting the old site's growth.

Step by step

How a redesign avoids costing you what you already rank for

  1. Inventory before anything else

Every public URL on the current site is listed. This happens first, because a redesign that skips it is how businesses lose rankings they spent years earning.

  2. Decide what carries over

Keep, rewrite or retire, decided page by page with you. Retiring a page is a legitimate choice as long as the redirect is deliberate.

  3. Build fresh rather than patch

The new site is custom coded from the page plan, not the old site with a new skin, which is why the performance commitment is possible.

  4. Redirect, then point the domain

Every mapped URL is redirecting before the switch. The old site stays up until you are satisfied with the new one.

How long it takes

Same launch window as a new build. The inventory and mapping happen alongside the build rather than extending it.

  • How big the old site isFour hundred URLs is a very different redirect map from fifteen.
  • How much content is worth keepingMigrating good articles takes time. Leaving bad ones behind takes a decision.
  • How much the business has changedNew services and new coverage mean new pages rather than rebuilt ones.

None of these change the plan price. They change how much work sits inside it, which is why the fee is a plan rather than an hourly rate. See the plans.

Which plan carries this

This work is part of every plan. The plans differ elsewhere.

Nothing on this page is an add-on or an upsell. The three plans differ in launch time, article volume and whether the AI Engine and Content Engine are included.

From roofing companies we have built for

  • Ashleigh Sanderson

Scheduling supervisor, single-ply membrane roofing installer

I tested the commercial roof assessments page on my own phone before we approved anything. Key information comes first and the contact option is clearly labeled. The days of talking customers through the menu are over.

    Overland Park, Kansas

Mobile navigation and page layout for commercial roof assessments

  • Bethany Hastings

Office manager, industrial roof refurbishment firm

The old commercial roof assessments PDF made sense on a printer and nowhere else. Staff now link to the precise section instead of wishing callers luck with a long document. Nothing was taken away from the people who like paper.

    Baton Rouge, Louisiana

Structured reference pages for commercial roof assessments

  • Talib El-Haddad

Operations coordinator, schools and public buildings roofing firm

The review of our commercial roof assessments pages was uncomfortable reading, in a useful way. There is a single approved version now, owned by a named person with a review date. Maintaining the site finally feels manageable.

Questions about roofing website redesign

Will a redesign hurt my current Google ranking?

Not when it is done with a full redirect map, which is standard on every redesign we handle. The risk comes from redesigns that skip this step entirely, which we never do.

Can you redesign a site built on any platform?

Yes. Whatever platform your current site runs on, we rebuild it as a custom-coded site and migrate the content and redirects across during the build window.

Will a redesign hurt my current rankings?

Not if the migration is done properly, and that is the part most redesigns get wrong. Every existing URL is inventoried and permanently redirected to its new equivalent before the domain is pointed, which preserves the signals those pages already carry.

How do I know a redesign is worth it?

Ask what is actually broken. If the site is slow, missing the towns you cover and unchanged for years, a rebuild fixes real problems. If it works and you are simply bored of it, spend the money somewhere that is costing you jobs.

Can I keep parts of the old site?

Content, yes, where it is genuinely good. The platform, no. Restyling an old foundation is a temporary fix and we would rather not sell you one.

What happens to my old site during the build?

It stays live and untouched. Nothing switches until you have reviewed the new site and are satisfied, and the redirects go live at the same moment the domain is pointed.

How long will the site be down?

It is not. The new site is built and tested on its own address, then the domain is pointed. Visitors see the old site right up until they see the new one.

Can we keep the same domain through a redesign?

Yes, and you should. The domain carries everything a redesign is trying to protect. It stays in your name, it is simply pointed at the new site once you are satisfied with it.
